The importance of SEO
SEO- Search Engine Optimization
SEO is very important for your new website. It is what will determine whether search engines will show your website or not. Some people say it isn’t important but it is. It doesn’t matter how much time and effort you put into your business, it won’t matter if google won’t show it in search results. You can pay for traffic to your website but that can get very expensive. You don’t want to pay for something that not won’t make you any money.
Google and Bing have Search Engine Console where you can submit your website in a few simple steps. That is one of the first things I do every time I create a new website. People that is searching for services or products you offer will be able to see your website.
Google Search Console
These are the two place where you will submit every website you create.
Google Analytics will also allow you to submit your website. They will give you a tracking code to enter on your website. You will use google analytics to keep track of how many people visit your website and how long they stay on your website.
Don’t pay for services you don’t understand
There are a lot of websites out here that claim you can make a lot of money if you pay them to set it up. That may be true, but you will to pay someone to set it up for you, and think about it, if something go wrong you have to pay to fix it and you still don’t understand what went wrong. You also risk losing money and never making a dime.
The best way to work from home is to learn as much as you can on your own. I did a lot of reading and you tube videos on drop shipping and affiliate marketing. People are charging for information that you won’t have any success with if you don’t understand the system. I started 2 years ago, and didn’t make any money until I did my own research on how to run my own website. My best advice is to learn how to build your own website, that way you can learn at your own pace what will and won’t work for you.
You can work from home and earn money, but you would need the patience to learn. There are some things that money can’t buy. Your success is one of them. People will tell you that they started a business and started earning money right away. The real question is how long have that person been trying to start this business, how many times have they failed in the past, how much money did they spend to get this business started and most important question, do they honestly understand how the system work. People can make their success sound so easy but won’t talk about their failures.
WordPress offer free websites, but the URL will have WordPress in it. If you’re selling online, it will look a little unprofessional ” That’s just my opinion”. It will take the same amount of time to use web-hosting and set up a self-hosted WordPress site. You can do more with a self-hosted website also. A self-hosted WordPress site will offer more plugins and themes.
Use a Web-hosting service in the beginning and this will save you a lot of time in the future. You will only have to do the work one time opposed to using a company domain then switching it over to your domain months later. Once again you can pay someone to do this, but it very simple to do yourself!!!
Traffic for your website
The hardest part with Affiliate Marketing is learning how to target the right audience. (Don’t pay someone to set up something that you can learn in a few days with the right information)
—— Your audience will be based off whatever services you promote. You can promote just about anything on social media for free.
Facebook – You can connect multiple pages to your personal Facebook account and ask people to share your page. You can also do a Facebook search for your niche. Join different groups with people that are looking for the services you are promoting. At this point, all you need to do is post your affiliate link in those groups and on your page.
You will eventually start seeing people buy or sign up for what you are promoting.
Facebook also offer paid advertising which will automatically share your links with people looking for the product or service that you are promoting. You can do this for less than $10 per week. Be very careful, please do some research on which audience you need to target. If not you will waste money using paid advertising. My experience has shown me that Facebook ads is the cheapest way of getting traffic to your website.
Other Social Media sites include: Pinterest, Twitter, Blogger, Google+, plus more
Another way to drive traffic to your site is through Search Engines – Google, Bing, Yahoo.
Google AdWords is strict on promoting affiliate links without content. You will probably need some experience in creating landing pages if you use Google AdWords.
It’s not hard once you know how to do it.
